Been sitting there for nearly 70yrs..

They hook up a generator and pour in some diesel..

A bit of messing about with the engine..

Point of order..it`s not a tank,it`s a self propelled gun (no turret=not a tank)..still brilliant anyway,wonder if the gun still works.

He could have named it as an ISU152, a 152mm Howitzer mounted on the chassis of a Joseph Stalin (or IS2) tank. I think it’s the ‘M’ model, given the thickness of the mantle, they were introduced in 1959.
There was one for sale in Cambridge a few years ago
